"Jangan terima rasuah, itu adalah satu perkara besar, anda makan duit haram macam makan babi, bagi saya orang yang makan duit rasuah, dia beli apa pun ia jadi haram, kalau dia beli makan, dia macam makan babi," katanya.

If we are sincere about fighting corruption, we have to expand it's definition to cover also non monetary gains. For example, if our son or daughter's business is failing and the potential of him or her to be a bankrupt is staring in the face, and we use our authority to make a government agency to buy the shares in the company at a very inflated. That is why only the small fries got caught, because the big ones were "acting within their authority" such as giving state and (big) contracts to friends and families.

Reaksi beberapa orang penulis Facebbok ini menarik untuk dihayati. Walaupun tidak dinyatakan kepada siapa sebenarnya yang ditujukan, satu hal pasti, iaitu citra sebuah politik terbesar di negara ini telah terlalu tercalar sehingga apa pun yang dikatakan pemimpinnya (baik yang bekas mahu pun yang kembali semula)tidak memberi kesan kepada masyarakat umum hari ini, terutama golongan generasi muda hari ini.
