On Arms Deal
The Government has never paid anyone commission for the procurement of two Scorpene submarines and 18 Sukhoi fighter jets, said Deputy Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak. He said Malaysia had direct negotiations with the countries involved. The submarines were purchased from France and Spain and the jets from Russia.The Star Online, 15 May 2008

Comment:
In other words, Deputy Prime Minister wishes to say that there is no hanky-panky with regards to the arms deal and the government is playing by the rules. This is what we called the name game of Malayian politics.
